Making the future drivable. In the “DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum” in Berlin, the company presents its twelve brands in a groundbreaking overall concept. The focus is on mobility, innovation, and advanced services. The brand presence includes interactive installations, changing exhibitions, and cultural events. Multifunctional conference rooms, a shop, and urban gastronomy complete the concept. The elaborate audiovisual solutions are from Amptown System Company.
ASC was responsible for installing the lighting, sound, video, projection, and control technology for the exhibition areas, as well as the media technology equipment for the conference rooms. Since the technology has to support a wide variety of events, it should be as easy to operate as it is to flexibly expand. ASC’s system specialists created an appropriate infrastructure including the installation and programming of all components. The media technology concept includes 40″ displays in the entrance area and specially designed loudspeakers, which are tuned to a reverberation time extension system with implemented 3D sound. A monumental LED wall is a real eye-catcher. The sound system was developed using wave field synthesis and achieves a high reproduction quality for both individuals and groups. Wireless microphones and a mixing console complete the sound system. LEDs for the lighting installation guarantee maximum durability and efficiency. This includes freely positionable profile spotlights in specially designed runners. In the conference and meeting area, 55″ displays play spectacular motion sequences if required. The six conference rooms impress with state-of-the-art media technology, which has been discreetly integrated into the elegant furniture. The media installation includes video conference cameras, retractable video projectors, and wireless presentation systems. Touch panels control the media technology including lighting and darkening.
